How can we help?
Getting Started
How do I start tracking a ride?
Open Throvo and tap the big Start Ride button on the home screen. The app will request location permission if it hasn't already — grant "Always Allow" so tracking continues when your screen locks mid-ride. Put your phone away and ride. Throvo records everything automatically.
How do I stop a ride?
Open the app and tap Stop. The ride is saved automatically with your route, distance, speed, duration and elevation.
Why do I need "Always Allow" location?
Without background location access, tracking stops when you switch away from the app or your screen locks. "Always Allow" ensures your full route is captured even when the screen is off. Throvo only uses location during active rides.
Ride Tracking
My distance looks wrong. Why?
GPS accuracy varies by device, signal quality, and surroundings (tunnels, tall buildings). Throvo applies a 25m accuracy filter to remove noisy GPS points. In very poor signal areas, some route sections may be missing. This is a hardware limitation, not a bug.
The app stopped tracking mid-ride.
This usually happens when iOS terminates background processes to save battery. To prevent it: go to Settings → Throvo → Location → Always, and disable Low Power Mode during rides. Also make sure Background App Refresh is on for Throvo.
Can I edit a ride after saving?
You can delete a ride and re-log it manually, but GPS route data cannot be edited after capture. Tap the edit icon on the ride detail screen to update the name or notes.
Garage and Documents
How do I add my bike?
Tap Garage in the bottom nav, then the + button. Enter your bike's name, make, model, year, and current odometer reading.
How do I log fuel?
Open your bike in Garage and tap Add Fuel. Enter litres filled and cost. Throvo automatically calculates your km/L and cost per km based on the distance ridden since your last fill-up.
How do I add documents to the Vault?
In Garage, tap View All next to Documents, then tap +. Select document type (RC, Insurance, PUC, etc.), set the expiry date, and optionally attach a photo or PDF.
How do I remove a document?
On the Vault screen, swipe a document card left and confirm deletion.
Sharing
How do I create a ride share card?
Open any ride and tap the share icon. Choose from three card styles — Default, Photo, or Ghost. Tap Share to send via WhatsApp, Instagram, or any app. Tap Save to save to your camera roll.
Can I add a photo to my ride card?
Yes — select the Photo template on the share screen and tap the photo area to pick an image from your gallery.
Account and Data
How do I sign in?
Throvo uses Google Sign-In. Tap Continue with Google on the welcome screen and select your Google account.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. All rides, bikes, fuel logs and documents sync to your Firebase account automatically when you have internet. Your data is safe if you switch phones or reinstall the app.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email us at support@throvo.app with the subject "Delete my account". We will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 7 days.
